Why do you want to be a mentor?
Born and raised in the south of England, I graduated from Cambridge University and then pursued my athletic dreams in the US. Returning to London, I worked and studied to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.
A two year work secondment to Sydney has turned into 30 years and counting. I spent the majority of my executive career in investment banking (M&A, capital raising) but also as CEO and CFO of a large food manufacturing company.
For the past decade, I have enjoyed ‘portfolio life’ comprising non-executive board positions, consulting and investing. I have worked with both large, global organisations as well as small, fast growing start-ups, and everything in between. Whilst I still enjoy the buzz of the city, my family is now based in the beautiful Southern Highlands, an hour south of Sydney.
Leisure time (less than I’d like!) is spent cycling, gardening and travelling.
